Guided Grant Research Tutorial and Research Hours
Learn how to use two powerful tools for learning about foundations: MPC's updated Directory of Maine Grantmakers Online with enhanced search features and the Foundation Directory Online, a resource from the Foundation Center that gives you instant access to data on more than 98,000 foundations, corporate donors, and grantmaking public charities. The Maine Philanthropy Center is a Funding Information Network Partner of the Foundation Center and has access to a wealth of information for the public in that capacity.
MPC is pleased to offer free guided tutorials at our Portland location (USM Glickman Family Library). Our experienced staff will show you how to effectively use these rich resources.
In addition, MPC staff will be on hand to help you make the most of your independent research time during our expanded research sessions immediately following the tutorial.
The tutorial lasts about 30 minutes and is followed by the research session. There is no fee for the tutorial or to use the resources during the research session, but space is limited so we request registration.
Please bring a flash drive to the tutorial if you would like to save information on a drive. Otherwise, data can be emailed.
